Four people were hurt in a car accident involving multiple vehicles on Highway S last Thursday.
The accident occurred just before 2:58 pm, when Solomon J. Counterman slammed his Chevrolet Lumina into the back of a Hyundai Elantra that came to a stop while waiting for an opportunity to turn left. The resulting impact sent the Elantra into the westbound lane, where a Ford Ranger smashed into its passenger-side door.
A passenger in the Elantra was taken to the hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries. He or she was taken to Froedert Hospital in Wauwatosa. The other three people were taken to separate treatment facilities.
Counterman claimed he did not see the stopped car, and was cited for inattentive driving. There is a chance rainy conditions may have had played a role in lowering visibility. Driving in the rain requires special cautions. If you have been hurt by another driver’s actions, contact the car accident lawyers of Habush Habush &Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.
