Impaired driver kills a motorcyclist

The Kenosha Police Department in Wisconsin has reported that 18-year-old local Jordan Winters had been arrested on charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle on Monday, March 17 at around 7:00 p.m., according to Kenosha News.

Winters attempted to turn left along the 6800 block of 39th Avenue when he pulled out in front of two motorcyclists, identified as 34-year-old Bristol resident Shawn Delaney and 36-year-old Racine resident Kevin Daugherty. Police said Winters showed signs of impairment and confessed to have smoked marijuana. Authorities drew his blood to confirm intoxication.

Delaney  was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He succumbed to his injuries at the Kenosha Medical Center, while Daugherty survived with minor injuries after treatment at the same hospital.
