Van-pickup truck collision kills 16-year-old girl in Kenosha County

Sixteen-year-old Wheatland Township resident Samantha Russell lost her life when a van collided with the pick-up truck she was driving at around 1:30 p.m. on December 31, FOX 6 News reported.

Two others were injured in the accident, 12-year-old passenger of the pickup truck Kayla Brown and the 34-year-old driver of the van, Beach Park, Illinois resident Jennifer Walsh. The collision occurred at the intersection of State Highway 50 and 392nd Avenue in Wheatland, when Russell ventured into the westbound lanes of State Highway 50. This is when Walsh’s full sized van hit the truck, causing it to rollover. Russell then became trapped inside the vehicle.

Brown was airlifted via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee to treat her critical injuries, while Walsh was taken to a Burlington hospital to treat her less serious injuries. Walsh fully cooperated with the police investigation, authorities said.

The attorneys of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. wish for the quick recovery of those injured and extend their deepest thoughts to those suffering during this difficult time.
