Man killed in Kenosha intersection accident

Eighty-five-year-old Kenosha resident Richard Dumke died in a fatal car accident on Tuesday, September 9, the Kenosha News reported.

The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway KR and Interstate 94 West Frontage Road in Racine, according to a report by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department. After the accident, Dumke was rushed to the hospital. Soon thereafter, he was declared dead.

The police said the intersection accident happened when Dumke’s northbound vehicle collided with an eastbound vehicle operated by 47-year-old Burlington resident Todd Bruesewitz. Investigators said Dumke’s vehicle was at a stop sign, but they have yet to determine who was at fault. Bruesewitz may have hit Dumke’s car even as he was stopped at the sign, or Dumke may have prematurely entered the intersection, resulting in a collision.

The Kenosha attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. offer their thoughts and sincere condolences to the friends and family suffering during this difficult time.
