One killed in car-truck collision

Authorities with the Kenosha Police Department in Wisconsin reported that an unidentified individual was brought to the Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee via Flight for Life after being involved in a car-truck collision last Wednesday, July 23, at the intersection of 52nd Street and 104th Avenue in Kenosha at around 6:15 p.m.

According to preliminary investigations made by the police, a truck was heading east on 52nd Street when it passed by a semi next to it and moved past the vehicle in front of it.

As the truck was continuing along, the traffic light at the intersection of 52nd Street and 104th Avenue changed from yellow to red. The truck continued into the intersection where it struck a car that was attempting to go south on 104th Avenue.

Emergency medical responders and fire officials responded to the accident scene and found the car stuck in the southeast corner ditch with heavy passenger-side damage, while the truck that struck it was in the southeast corner embankment and had massive front-end damage. A man in the car that was struck was helicoptered to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The thoughts of everyone here at the firm are with the family members and loved ones of the victims at this extremely difficult time.
