Man does hit and run with stolen vehicle

Sixty-year-old Kenosha, Wisconsin resident Englebert Auinger violated a multitude of traffic regulations after drunk driving his friend’s vehicle without permission on May 18, Kenosha News reported.

According to police authorities, Auinger borrowed his friend’s car, so he could drive back to Racine after a long drinking session. The car owner explicitly told Auinger not to drive his car but woke up to find it missing the next day. Auinger hit another vehicle on the 3000 block of Highway E while intoxicated and attempted to flee the accident. He was pulled over and arrested not long after. The victim in the other car may have suffered injuries. Auinger was charged with a hit and run involving injury.
