Woman runs red light, injures 13-year-old pedestrian

On April 19, a 13-year-old pedestrian sustained minor injuries after a vehicle traveling along the intersection of 29th Avenue and 60th Street in Kenosha ran a red light and struck him. The pedestrian has been identified as Kenosha resident Aaron Fugate.

A report from the Kenosha Police Department reveals that Fugate did not lose consciousness after he was hit. Fugate landed on the windshield upon impact and flew upwards and onto the road.  Fugate was taken to the Aurora Medical Center to treat his head, back, and left elbow injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that hit Fugate, 21-year-old Pleasant Prairie resident Alyssa Jozwiak, was cited for not abiding by traffic laws.
