Portage County motorcycle accident victims identified

The Portage County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin has identified the victims in a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred Monday night, April 21, in the Town of Linwood.

Motorcycle driver 21-year-old Wisconsin Rapids resident Alexander Reeder and his passenger, 20-year-old Mukwonago resident Katherine Axlen, died at around 4:45 p.m. after sustaining life-threatening injuries when a woman who was pulling into a driveway turned her car into the motorcycle’s path on State Highway 66.

The victims, who were both seniors at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point and who were both wearing helmets, were ejected from their motorcycle due to the impact. They were both declared dead at the scene of the accident.
