Woman charged with felonies for drinking and driving

21-year-old Wisconsin Rapids resident Maci T. Siems appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on October 17 to be arraigned for two felony counts and one misdemeanor count.

Wood County Circuit Judge Todd Wolf ordered a $2,000 bail for Siems. She is facing a maximum sentence of up to 26 years of imprisonment.

Siems lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a utility pole just before 2 a.m. near the intersection of Pepper Avenue and Seventh Street. The accident caused injuries to her three passengers, including a broken cheek bone, possible injured lung, two broken ankles, and skull fracture; a broken jaw; and a broken foot, according to the criminal report.
