Milwaukee woman hit by vehicle

The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to an accident that occurred along the southbound lanes of Interstate 94 in Kenosha County in which a 24-year-old resident of Milwaukee, identified as Loretta Pollack, was hit by a car on Friday, June 7, prompting them to close the roads for several hours.

According to Sergeant Jushka, Pollack was walking in the southbound lanes at around 3 a.m. when a vehicle heading south on I-94 near County Road hit her. The accident caused Pollack serious injuries, and emergency personnel had to administer CPR to revive her.

Further investigation revealed that a car that was halfway submerged in a retention pond near the Mars Cheese Castle about half a mile from the scene of the accident belongs to Pollack. The car submerged underwater had no occupants, divers for the search and rescue operation said.
