One killed in motorcycle-truck crash

A 48-year-old Bolingbrook woman was killed Sunday night in Geneva after the motorcycle on which she was a passenger struck a pickup truck making a U-turn on Kirk Road and Division Street. The 50-year-old driver of the motorcycle also suffered extensive injuries and was taken to the hospital.

According to the Beacon-News, the 19-year-old driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident. Charges have not been filed at this time.

The Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team and the Geneva Police Department are investigating the cause of the crash.
