Wrong-way driver injures three

A wrong-way driver traveling southbound on northbound Highway 41 caused a head-on collision last week that injured him and two others. The 33 year-old driver suffered minor injuries and fled from the scene before authorities arrived.

The 31 year-old passenger of the car that was hit suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken by helicopter to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee. The other driver was transported to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities found the wrong-way driver shortly after the accident at a gas station near by. He has been charged with drunk driving, hit-and-run causing bodily harm, and driving with a suspended license causing great bodily harm.
