Man injured in motorcycle-car accident

A Mount Pleasant man suffered serious head injuries Sunday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a car in Racine. The 41 year-old man was transported to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa in critical condition after being thrown from the motorcycle on impact.

Authorities believe the motorcyclist was trying to go around a turning car when the accident occurred. According to officers, the motorcyclist was behind the car when it slowed down to turn right. The man turned right to pass the vehicle when they collided.

Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash. No citations have been issued at this time while the accident remains under investigation.
