Police cars recalled by Chrysler

Nearly 10,000 Dodge Charger police vehicles are being recalled by Chrysler Group, LLC to fix electrical problems that could affect the anti-lock breaks and low-beam headlights.

The 2011 and 2012 models of the Charger are the subject of the recall. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, overheating in the bulb harness connector could cause problems with the headlights. Overheating could also possibly cause malfunctions in the anti-lock break and electronic stability control functions.

No accidents have been reported in relation to the malfunctions. The recall is expected to start next month, and Chrysler will repair the vehicles free of charge.
