MN man dies in snowmobile accident

A St. Cloud, Minnesota man was killed after he drove his snowmobile into a cable strung between two fence posts.

The fatal accident happened in Milton Township on Friday afternoon. The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office believes speed and alcohol were a factor in crash.

Emergency responders found the man ejected from his snowmobile and say he was unresponsive when they arrived. He was taken to Winona Community Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The 28 year-old man was riding with his 38 year-old friend on private property when he hit the cable. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are currently investigating the crash.

Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of the victim.
