Motorcycle safety program may save lives

A new Wisconsin motorcycle safety program called THE REF, Transportable High-End Rider Education Facility, offers motorcycle safety lessons for both new and experienced riders. The program simulates driving on the road to help motorcyclists learn how to avoid accidents and learn new safety techniques.

THE REF has been in use since August 2010 and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation says that, so far, motorcycle fatalities are on the decline. At this time last year, there were 62 motorcycle-related deaths in the state. As of last week, there has been 46 deaths, 16 fewer than last year.

The Department of Transportation plans on taking THE REF to 60 locations across the state in order to raise awareness about motorcycle safety.

If you or someone you love has been seriously injured in a motorcycle accident, contact the Kenosha motorcycle accident lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. at 800-242-2874.
