Wisconsin point guard arrested for DUI

A University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee point guard was arrested last Wednesday in Cedar Rapids after he failed to stop for a routine traffic stop. The 22 year-old student was initially pulled over for not having a front license plate, which is illegal in Iowa. When the police officer approached his car, the driver sped off.

Officers pursued his vehicle, which soon skidded off the road. The man attempted to take off on foot, but was found a two blocks away by police K-9 units. Tests show his blood alcohol level was .228, almost three times the legal limit. He has been charged with driving while intoxicated, driving without a license plate, driving without insurance, and interference.
