Man sentenced to 30 years for fatal drunk driving crash

A man who drove drunk and killed a woman in Paris, Wisconsin was recently sentenced by a Kenosha County judge to spend thirty years in prison for the crime.

The accident occurred in May 2010. The woman was in the car with her husband when the man hit them. Police found that the man had been drunk during the accident and that he had taken cocaine in the days leading up to the accident.

The husband of the woman who died spoke in court to persuade the judge to give the man the maximum sentence for intoxication manslaughter. The drunk driver in the accident wrote a statement apologizing for his actions and blaming the accident on his alcoholism.
