UW student killed in truck accident

A University of Wisconsin student was killed on January 12 in a two-vehicle accident involving a car and a semi-trailer truck.

20-year-old Anna Shoemaker was a passenger in the car that was involved in the collision, which occurred near the U.S. Highway 63 and Old U.S. 63 intersection.

Shoemaker sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital where she died from head trauma.

The driver of the car was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition. The driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.

A truck accident is a devastating experience for the victims and their families. If you or someone you love has been injured or killed in an accident because of someone else’s negligence, you may be able to file a lawsuit to pursue compensation for your accident related costs.
