One killed in single-vehicle crash

A man was found dead on Monday in the aftermath of a single-vehicle accident in which his car swerved off Green Bay Road in Pleasant Prairie, according to authorities.

Police received reports of the crash around 1:07 PM Monday. The accident was called in by someone who said they had seen a crumpled car around 25 yards from the road, near Springbrook Road.

The 27-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Several small trees had been knocked down in the path of the car, which had landed upside down.

The driver was headed to Kenosha at the time of the crash, according to friends and family.

Police believed that speeding was a factor in the accident and are currently investigating to determine any other possible causes.
