Woman Sentenced to 9 Years Following DUI Fatality

A Milwaukee woman was sentenced to nine years in prison following her conviction on the charges of a drunk driving fatality.  The accident occurred in December in Brooklyn Center, on 66th Street and Highway 252.

The woman had a blood alcohol content four-and-a-half times the legal limit when she caused the multi-car accident that led to the death of a 37-year-old man.  The man became trapped in his car, which caught on fire.  Witnesses at the scene rushed to help put out the flames, but they were unable to and the man died at the scene.

The 32-year-old woman has two prior DUI convictions, one in Minnesota and one in Wisconsin.
