The 9-year-old boy had been staying at his grandparents’ farm in Jackson County, not far from Taylor. He began snowboarding in the area on Saturday, when he apparently lost control and skidded over an embankment and onto County Trunk P, where he was hit by the van. He was taken by life flight to Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, where he died.
