The man’s pickup truck rolled over and struck a utility pole, according to Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department Deputies who responded to reports of the crash. The pole was broken in two and had fallen on the truck. The case was ultimately handed to Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies, as it occurred just over state lines.

Authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved in this tragic accident.

According to court documents, Thursday’s sentencing of 23 year-old Jerry G. Holliman was part of a plea deal. Holliman pleaded guilty to homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, and prosecutors dismissed three other charges.

Prosecutors say Holliman sped away when a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputy tried to pull him over for speeding last year. During the subsequent chase, Holliman allegedly turned into the path of 31 year-old Pleasant Prarie-resident Anibal Tellez.

Tellez died as a result of the crash.

Holliman’s attorney says his client was acting with an “invincible and bulletproof” mentality.

Fell and Schmidt say the motorcycle became airborne and then fell, skidding along the road near their bike.  Fell slowed the bike until the hit motorcycle came to a stop.  ”The bike or truck could have hit us, if it were second later,” stated Fell.

When Fell and Schmidt went to help the motorcyclist he was not coherent and did not reply to their questions.  The victim was sent in a helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.  Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department officials reported that the 62-year old victim was not wearing a helmet, but did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

According to the Journal-Sentinel, Donald F. Niedzolkowski, “was driving his Honda motorcycle south on 30th Ave. when a car driven by an 18-year-old Kenosha man pulled out from a stop sign and collided with the motorcycle about 12:30 p.m.” The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike while the car hit another vehicle.

Niedzolkowski was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead by emergency authorities on the scene of the accident.

He was arrested after he failed a sobriety test. This was his sixth offense for drunken driving. According to WXOW, “Besides drunk driving, Youngthunder was ticketed for failing to yield, driving with a revoked driver’s license, and child restraint violations.”

He had his two children in the car with him, ages nine and three. The youngest was not in a car seat at the time.

Currently, Youngthunder is in jail, “pending a court appearance and also on a probation hold,” according to WXOW.

Gasparino was airlifted to UW Hospital. According to TMJ4, she suffered “life-threatening injuries.” Passenger Patricia Kenammer was also taken to UW hospital with less serious injuries. Taft escaped unscathed.
