Tomorrow afternoon, the Safe Kids Coalition of Kenosha will be inspecting car seats for free during an event that will, hopefully, raise awareness about the importance of car seat safety and the proper way to install them. The event will be taking place at the Sturtevant Police Department from 4-7 p.m.

A study showed that four out of five car seats are not installed correctly. Also, some car seats may be defective due to mistakes made by manufacturing companies. Professional car seat technicians will be examining car seats for the event tomorrow, and anyone who has a child or drives with children is encouraged to attend.

Car seats are important safety measures for children when riding in a car, however, they can be dangerous to the child if they are defective or not installed correctly.
