River Falls woman killed in head-on collision

A woman from River Falls, Wisconsin lost her life in a head-on collision on Sunday, November 8, at around 12:45 p.m. along Wisconsin Highway 65, about a quarter-mile south of Wagner Drive in Roberts. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 61-year-old Bonny Britton.

According to preliminary investigations, an 18-year-old male driver was traveling south along the highway in a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix when his vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into Britton’s 2007 Buick Lucerne in a head-on collision.

The male driver and his two passengers – 26-year-olds Chippewa Falls resident Natasha Normand and Eau Claire resident Brandon Judge – were transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul in order to receive treatment for injuries that were labeled “critical.”

A St. Paul spokeswoman said that as of Monday morning, November 9, Judge was still in critical condition, Normand’s condition had been elevated to serious, while the driver’s condition was stable.
