Six high school students hurt in van accident

Six high school students were injured last Wednesday when the van they were in was hit by a pickup truck in Spooner. The van, which is owned by Spooner Area Schools and was driven by a teacher, was driving westbound on Highway 63 when it was hit by a southbound truck.

All six students on board were taken to Spooner Hospital with non life-threatening injuries and have since been released. Both drivers were unhurt in the collision.

It was not reported who was at fault for the crash. According to the New Richmond News, the Wisconsin State Patrol is continuing to investigate the accident.
