Woman Seriously Injured in Highway Accident

A Kenosha woman was in the hospital with severe injuries after a horrific highway crash. Police say that, around 8 a.m. Saturday, driver Toni Gasparino of Kenosha and a passenger were heading south on I39/90/94 near Madison. She was reportedly speeding. When Gasparino attempted to change lanes, “she lost control of her Jeep,” according to TMJ4. At this moment, she struck Arlington man, Alex Taft’s, vehicle. Her Jeep then rolled over, stopping in a traffic lane.
Gasparino was airlifted to UW Hospital. According to TMJ4, she suffered “life-threatening injuries.” Passenger Patricia Kenammer was also taken to UW hospital with less serious injuries. Taft escaped unscathed.
Police suspect alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
